PRIVATE MENTORSHIPS
Personal Guidance for Developing Your Photographic Practice
Private mentorships offer individual guidance for photographers seeking to develop their work with greater direction, confidence and coherence.
Rather than focusing on a single portfolio review or technical session, a mentorship provides the opportunity to work together over time. Each programme is shaped around your individual practice, ambitions and the questions you are currently facing as a photographer.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Depending on your objectives, mentorship can explore:
• Developing your photographic voice and visual identity
• Moving from individual photographs toward coherent projects
• Documentary and visual storytelling
• Project development and long-term direction
• Editing and critical reflection on ongoing work
• Exhibitions, publications and presentation
• Professional development and positioning
• Preparing for fieldwork or documentary assignments
A PERSONAL APPROACH
There is no fixed mentorship programme.
We begin by identifying where you are in your photographic practice, what you want to achieve and where focused guidance could make the greatest difference. Sessions and assignments are then developed around those objectives.
Mentorships can take place online or, where feasible, in person in Antwerp.
WHO IT IS FOR
Private mentorships are intended for committed photographers who want to develop their practice over time and would benefit from regular, independent guidance.
They can be particularly valuable when developing a long-term project, redefining creative direction or working towards an exhibition, publication or other professional objective.
