Christian Clauwers offers private and small-group masterclasses for photographers seeking to strengthen their photographic practice, visual storytelling and ability to work with purpose in the field.
Drawing on more than two decades of international fieldwork, documentary projects and scientific expeditions, each masterclass combines practical photographic knowledge with firsthand experience from polar regions, oceans and remote environments.
WHAT WE EXPLORE
Depending on the programme, topics may include:
• Visual storytelling and narrative photography
• Composition, perspective and working with available light
• Building a coherent photographic series
• Documentary and environmental photography
• Field preparation and working in remote environments
• Expedition photography and equipment considerations
• Editing, selection and presentation
• From individual images to exhibitions, publications and long-term projects

• Metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP, …)

FORMAT
Masterclasses can be organised as half-day, full-day or evening sessions and tailored to the experience, interests and objectives of the participants.
Sessions are available for individuals, small groups, organisations, universities and educational institutions, and can combine presentations, practical photography, image review and discussion.
Bespoke programmes can also be developed around a specific theme, location or event.
