ANTARCTICA
Remote Weddell Sea Explorer incl. South Georgia - South Sandwich Islands - Neuschwabenland - Larsen Ice Shelf - Paulet and Devil Island - Elephant Island, incl. helicopters
7 February – 6 March 2027 (27 nights)
This adventurous expedition explores one of the least-visited areas on Earth, Antarctica’s amazing Weddell Sea. After visiting some of the same sites legendary explorer Ernest Shackleton’s charted in South Georgia, we’ll enjoy the Weddell’s exotic wildlife and colossal tabular icebergs.
Pure exploration and adventure!
During this unique voyage, you’ll explore remote corners of the Weddell Sea not only by Zodiac but also by helicopter—opening up access to dramatic landscapes and landing sites that are otherwise nearly impossible to reach. Imagine standing on vast stretches of sea ice or setting foot in rarely visited places shaped by icebergs and history.
While the exact helicopter operations depend on weather, ice, and safety conditions, our vessel is equipped with three helicopters to maximize opportunities. This flexibility ensures that when conditions align, you’ll enjoy truly once-in-a-lifetime perspectives from above and landings in areas beyond the reach of traditional expeditions.
Join us for an adventure that combines the best of exploration, discovery, and the extraordinary freedom of flight in Antarctica.
